STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, 1º de febrero de 2021 – El Consejo de Salud del Condado de Routt modificó la Orden de Salud Pública existente para implementar restricciones con el fin de disminuir el alto número de casos en la comunidad. La nueva Orden de Salud Pública se centra en algunas áreas, entre las que se incluyen: limitar las reuniones personales a un solo hogar; exigir a los restaurantes que lleven registros de rastreo de contactos, que sólo se permita sentar un hogar a la vez y otras medidas de prevención, pero que se mantengan en una tasa de ocupación del 25%; y exigir a las empresas que trabajan en oficinas que se reduzca a una tasa de ocupación del 10%. Esta Orden de Salud Pública revisada cobra vigencia a partir del 1º de febrero hasta el 1º de marzo. Los comisionados discutieron en detalle las tendencias en el estado donde las comunidades de los centros de esquí tienen un número de casos más alto que el resto del estado. Routt County Board of Health Issues Revised Public Health Orders to Address High Case Counts

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, February 1, 2021 – The Routt County Board of Health amended the existing Public Health Order to implement restrictions in order to decrease case counts in the community. The new Public Health Order focuses on a few areas including: limiting personal gatherings to one household; requiring restaurants to keep contact tracing logs, seating only one household at a time and other prevention measures but staying at 25% occupancy; and requiring office-based businesses to reduce to 10% occupancy. This revised Public Health Order is in effect starting February 1st until March 1st. Commissioners discussed in depth the trends in the state where ski resort communities have higher case counts than the rest of the state. Routt County Considers Additional Public Health Orders to Combat Rising COVID-19 Cases

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO, January 27, 2021 – In the Board of the Health meeting today, County Commissioners and public health officials discussed the necessity of new public health orders in Routt County to address the alarming number and continued upward trend of cases in the past few weeks. As of Tuesday, Routt County’s case were at 313 and the positivity rate at 8.96%. The Board of Health identified a number of restrictions, including limiting personal gatherings to one household, as a way to address rising cases. Routt County’s public health team and legal team plan to present a new public health order to the Commissioners on Monday, February 1st for consideration by the Commissioners, and the Board of Health requests that everyone adopt the revised rules prior to Monday to the greatest extent possible to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community….

Aquí está la declaración de la Directora de Salud Pública del Condado de Routt, Roberta Smith, "La Salud Pública del Condado de Routt acaba de recibir la orientación del estado de Colorado de que las pruebas Curative que hemos estado usando en nuestra comunidad sólo se usará para individuos con síntomas y no puede ser usado en instalaciones de cuidado colectivo  A partir de hoy, las pruebas comunitarias del condado de Routt sólo estarán disponibles para aquellos individuos con síntomas. Los individuos asintomáticos pueden hacerse la prueba en otros lugares como UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center y Northwest Colorado Health.  Estamos trabajando con el estado para conseguir otro producto de prueba que podamos usar para pruebas asintomáticas. Routt County Only Testing Symptomatic Individuals

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO, January 21, 2021 – Based on the state’s guidance today on Curative tests, Routt County will only be testing symptomatic individuals.

Here is statement from Routt County Public Health Director, Roberta Smith, “Routt County Public Health just received guidance from the state of Colorado that the Curative tests we have been using in our community testing can only be used for individuals with symptoms and cannot be used in congregate care facilities. Starting today, Routt County community testing will only be available to those individuals with symptoms. Asymptomatic individuals can still get tested at other locations like UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center and Northwest Colorado Health. We are working with the state to procure another testing product we can use for asymptomatic testing. We thank you for your patience as we adjust our procedures"…

CDPHE to discontinue Curative testing for residential care facilities and other congregate settings

Remote, January 21, 2021: Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will no longer be using Curative testing effective, today, Jan. 21 in residential care facilities-- as well as in correctional facilities, homeless shelters, and other congregate settings. The decision comes after the FDA cited additional concerns about the accuracy of the Curative assay and collection methods….

Routt County’s Case Counts Higher Than the State’s Average Interacting with People Outside Your Household Riskier than December

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO, January 20, 2021 – In the Board of Health meeting today, Public Health officials showed the Commissioners the ever-rising COVID-19 cases in Routt County, remarking that it is much higher than the state’s current incidence rate and the sixth highest incidence rate out of 64 counties in the state. The increase in disease prevalence in the community makes interactions outside the household riskier than it was in December. The 20-29 age group accounts for 40% of the new cases. Public Health emphasized that the majority of cases are from Routt County residents and not tourists. Vaccination efforts continue to focus on residents who are seventy years old or older to meet the state’s objective of 70% of 70-year-olds vaccinated by the end of February before moving on to other categories for immunization…
